General Terms :
Meals : Meals are based on present menus featuring the top selections representative of local cuisine as well as some of the more popular intercontinental dishes. No refunds for meals not taken can be given.
Health : Though no vaccinations are currently required for any of the featured destinations, please not that the U.S Centers for Disease Control (CDC) & the World Health Organization recognize a risk of malaria for certain areas of South East Asian and South Asia. Therefore, we suggest you to contact your personal physician for details for the health measures you should take prior to your departure.
Weather : World weather can be erratic and unpredictable; therefore, we cannot be held responsible for disruption to your trip due to weather conditions.
Sightseeing : The cost of any unused tours within sightseeing packages may not be refunded. If seasonal animals or birds like black necked cranes are not on the spot, while guide takes you to the spont, guest are requested not to get disheartened and charge either the guide or the tour operator ( apology for that).
Special request : Where special request like room location, special diet, flight seat request etc. are an important factor in the choice of your vacation, you must advise us with the reservation is made. We would be glad to pass your request to the hoteliers or to the related stakeholders and request them for the same, but we cannot guarantee that it will be accommodated.
Peak season supplements : During peak season, especially in Bhutan during Spring (March-May) and Autumn ( September-November) when lots of tourist are pour in, and height of Tshechu Festivals occur, you may find that supplements are added to the cost of your vacation. The supplements may be for certain departures and or accommodations on specific dates. The cost of these supplements will be advised at the time of booking.
Printed program accuracy : The Itinerates or tour excursion may change as a result of local conditions or any other unavoidable circumstances from what we have described or different from those advertized in our print, web, e-mail trip programs. When we are told of any significant or long term changes, we always Endeavour to advise you prior to your departure.
Any complaint during your tour : If you encounter any necessary complaint while on your trip, you should bring it to the attention of the management of the tour operator, trip leader or hotel who will do their best to amend the situation. We appreciate your assistance in helping us improve our service(s).
Payment and Reservation System :
Please make all payments and deposit payable to AMJ TOURS AND TRAVELS’ Client Trust Account.
There is only one airline Drukair (www.drukair.com.bt) flying in and out of Bhutan, so we strongly recommend early reservations, which will ensure that you have a seat on one of those flights-especially peak seasons. The lead time help us better map out the logistics of your trip, resulting in a much better experience for you. For your better enjoyment and peace of mind during your whole trip from your home and then back, we would suggest you to book at least four months in advance.
When we receive Initial Trip Deposit (ITD) (Drukair airfare extra) along with your completed visa application form, we will confirm your space. Our initial ITD could be high because there are only limited number of desirable accommodations in Bhutan and these resorts, hotels and lodges in Bhutan. Moreover, Drukair and logistic agents requires significant advance payment to guarantee availability. Please note that the airfare portion of your trip deposit will be used to purchase your ticket for Bhutan arrival and departure. You have to shop your own for the best fares to the gateway city like Bangkok, Delhi, Kolkata and Katmandu.
Full Payment for the Trip :
Final payment is due in 120 days prior to your departure. Each guest is required to complete and return our signed release of Liability and Assumption of All risks form, and the Trip Application Form with your medical information, dietary needs (if any) and emergency contact information to be eligible for the trip. These documents are included in your Pre Departure Packet, which you will receive after you have met your Initial Trip Deposit Requirements.
Accommodations:
Hotels, Resorts and Lodges :
All the hotels and accommodation in Bhutan are arranged in the country as approved by the Tourism Council of Bhutan, Government of Bhutan. We strive to provide the best available accommodations as outlined an agreed prior to our trip program start. However, please note that standards can vary between different districts (Dzongkhag). Accommodation in all resorts, hotels, lodges or inns, is in standard rooms, unless otherwise stated.
Single Room Occupancy :
If you prefer to stay in a single room, please note that the single supplement fee outlined in your final trip program will apply. Our trip prices are based on double occupancy with two guests sharing a room. We will make every effort to match you with a same sex roommate when we receive your application. If there is no one with whom you can share accommodations you will be charge the single supplement fee. If you prefer before single occupancy, or a single room must be assigned to you due to last minute roommate cancellation or incompatibility or for any other reason, the single supplement charge will be assessed. Please note that single occupancy is not guaranteed at all places on our literary.
Early arrival or Late Departure :
Generally hotel rooms will be available between approximately 1 pm and 3 pm, and are to be vacated between 10 am and noon, irrespective of your arrival or departure times, unless we have stated otherwise. Should you wish your room to be ready prior to 1 pm on the day of your arrival or available after 10 am for afternoon or evening departure, an additional night’s cost will apply.
Flights:
Flight seat request: we strongly recommend that you check in early if you have particular seat request. Drukair doesn’t have the online seat reservation facilities unlike other international flights. AMJ tours and travels have no control over the allocation of seats and even if pre-booked with the airline, no guarantee can be made that the seats will be still available on departure.
Smoking in the flights :
Drukair doesn’t allow smoking in the flight.
